Your Profile Visibility setting controls whether employers can proactively contact you with opportunities. You can choose between three privacy settings:
- Standard is what we recommend. This means that Employers can view your profile and resumé and can contact you directly or via SEEK with job opportunities.
- Limited means that Employers can view your profile, but not your resumé and can only contact you via SEEK.
- Hidden means that Employers can’t view your profile, resumé or contact you with job opportunities.
Regardless of which Profile Visibility setting you choose, certain parts of your SEEK Profile (career history, education and skills) will be sent to the employer with your job application.
Show that you’re approachable
While it might sound similar, the approachability signal is not the same as your profile visibility. If you’re actively using SEEK, turn on Show my approachability* (you can find it in the About your next role section) – see the image below:
*Don’t see the Approachability option? Ensure your visibility is set to Standard or Limited.
