SEEK is aware of the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs’ Labour Market Testing (LMT) requirements for certain Visa types, and the obligation to provide evidence of attempts to recruit an Australian worker when trying to fill these positions.
SEEK has recently sought guidance from migration agents and lawyers in this area, which we’ll explain below. However, this information should not be relied upon as legal advice and we encourage you to get independent advice to suit your circumstances.
We have recently updated our Advertiser Centre to include all information that is required for LMT.
There is no requirement for you to obtain additional evidence from SEEK to support these applications.
To access a screenshot of your advertisement:
1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click on Jobs at the top of the page.
3. Select the Expired tab.
4. Click on the title of the ad.
5. Click Show ad details.
This will show you the start date and expiry date of your job ad. A screenshot of this information can be used for LMT purposes.
If you click the View expired ad button, this will take you through to the website and show you exactly how the ad looked when it was live on site. You can again screenshot this for additional documentation.
The link in the address bar can also be used as a reference for LMT.
To access invoice evidencing payment:
1.As the account administrator, log into the Ad Centre.
2.Select Account.
3.Select Invoice history.
Note: If you are on a recurring contract, a copy of the original invoice will be sufficient.
